Smart Device Privacy Inventory

For people who live with these devices — not for the brands that make them. Start with one question: what is it monitoring or tracking about you? For 529 smart devices this page shows what published research, regulator actions, and independent investigations documented — what you watch, what you say, where you go, how you sleep or drive — how it was measured, who it went to, and what you can turn off. No claim appears without its source. Where a model itself was never traffic-tested, the entry says so plainly.

Settled ≠ cleared

When you see “Tracked — case settled” on this page, the tracking comes first for a reason. “Settled” only means a court or regulator case ended — usually with money paid, and often with no admission of wrongdoing. On its own it says nothing about whether the monitoring stopped. So the legal outcome sits underneath the tracking on every device here, as a footnote — never as an all-clear.
